     During the height of the COVID era, something powerful emerged in the heart of Philadelphia. In conversations with new armwrestlers at local practices, a truth revealed itself—many athletes felt overwhelmed and intimidated walking into "open only" tournaments. These events, often dominated by Pro competitors, unintentionally discouraged the very lifeblood of the sport: the everyday puller.

That realization sparked a movement.
We asked ourselves—what about the rest of us? The warriors who train weekly, show up consistently, compete with heart, and grind in silence? The answer was clear: while only 2% of the sport may reach elite status, the remaining 98% are the sport.

     And with that truth, 98 Armwrestling was born. A brand, a mission, a movement—dedicated to the foundation of armwrestling: the grinders, the builders, the believers. From our first mega-practice, to our debut tournament, 98 began to rise. Then came Winterblast, born through a powerful collaboration with Susan Fischer. It has since evolved into the largest armwrestling tournament in the United States, drawing competitors from across the globe.

     Now, 98 Armwrestling is more than an event series—it's a nationwide and international promotional force. With franchised locations coast to coast and a thriving network of passionate organizers, we’ve become a pillar of the sport's future.

     Our mission remains unwavering: to elevate the sport, empower the 98%, and redefine what high-quality competition looks like—one match, one practice, one tournament at a time. This is 98 Armwrestling.
